S. L. Salon

You can find us at Anand Bazar, Shop No 15A, which is right across from the Jama Masjid on Nashik Road. It’s a good spot because the market is always active and full of life. S. L. Salon has been in this particular unit for some time now. We get a lot of foot traffic from people visiting the mosque or doing their daily shopping in the bazaar. It’s a small shop, but we’ve made the most of the space we have. The shelves are filled with the usual combs and powders. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just a place for a haircut, maybe a shave, and a bit of conversation. The noise of the street comes in whenever the door opens, but that’s just life in Nashik 422101. We’ve got a few chairs and they’re almost always occupied in the evenings. It feels good to be part of the community here. Sometimes we forget to change the calendar on the wall, but the work stays consistent regardless of the date. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years while we stayed right here in Anand Bazar. It’s practical work. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. If you need your hair trimmed, you come in, sit down, and we take care of it. That’s really all there is to it. We just keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the mirror.
