Papaj Hair Salon is located right inside the Shivaji Maharaj Bhaji Market on Trimbak Road in Satpur. It’s a very lively spot to have a business. Every morning the farmers bring in their crates and the whole place is full of energy. Our shop is right in the middle of all that. We get a lot of customers who are either selling at the market or just finished their grocery shopping. It’s a simple setup. We have our mirrors and our scissors, and that’s about it. It’s not a place for a long spa day, it’s a place for a fast haircut. The floor is usually a bit dusty because of all the feet walking through the market, but we try our best to keep it clean. We’ve been here for quite some time now. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting their prices while you’re sitting in the chair. It’s just how it is here. We don’t have any fancy signs or anything. People know "Papaj" and they know where to find us. Usually, there’s a wait on market days, so people just hang out and talk about the price of onions or whatever else is happening in Satpur. It’s a very local vibe.
