New Impression Salon

Started the shop at Shop No.1/4 on Pathardi Road. Trimurti Chowk is always busy. I remember when we first opened here in Patil Nagar. The floor is easy to sweep. We have those black chairs. People come in, they wait on the bench. Sometimes the fan makes a little noise but it keeps the air moving. Nashik gets hot in the summer, you know. We see the same faces every month. It’s not a big fancy place, just New Impression Salon. We keep our scissors sharp. The mirror in the back has a small crack in the corner but it works fine. Most people don’t even notice. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather or what’s happening down the road. It’s mostly just us doing our work and making sure folks look decent before they head back out to the traffic. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood run by and wave. We have some old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones now. I like the morning time most when it’s quiet and the light comes through the front door just right. We’ve been here a while now and the address hasn't changed. It’s a steady kind of life. We just open up, do the haircuts, and go home when the sun goes down. Nothing complicated about it really. It’s a good way to earn a living and we like being part of the street here.
