Natraj Mens Salon

If you are walking down Punpa Road in Nashik, you’ll find Natraj Mens Salon right by Samrat Prem Theatre. Being near the cinema means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around, especially when a big movie is playing. We have been in Mahatma Nagar for quite some time, and the shop has seen many changes on this street. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of clippers and the radio playing some local music in the background. We have a few chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine for a haircut or a shave. Many of the men who come in are regulars who have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own sons, which is something we like to see. Nashik can get quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the mirrors and sweeping up hair from the floor. It’s a small space, so it gets crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week ahead. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the trade. Sometimes we run out of clean towels and have to wait for the laundry to come back, but people don't seem to mind much. We just talk about the cricket scores or the local news while they wait their turn. It's just a regular neighborhood barber shop for regular guys who need a trim.
