Moshin Hair Saloon

If you go down Trimbak Road in Nashik and look for the Thadadi Masajit, you’ll find us right there in the Bhadrakali area. Moshin Hair Saloon is located right by the Hdfc Bank and we are quite close to the Trimbak Police Station, so it’s a very easy spot to find. The saloon has been a part of this street for quite some time. It’s mostly just the sound of clippers and the radio playing some old songs in the background. We have those old-style heavy chairs that are really sturdy. Usually, the men from the neighborhood come in for a quick trim or a shave before they head off to work or after the evening prayers. It gets pretty lively on Sundays when everyone has some free time to sit around and talk. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum all day long. The walls are covered with some posters and a few calendars we got from the local shops. I spend a lot of time sweeping because the hair just piles up so fast when we are busy. We keep our tools clean and our scissors sharp, and that’s about all there is to it. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but seeing the regulars come back every month makes it worth the effort. We’re just a simple shop in a busy part of Nashik where everyone knows each other.
