Micro Works

Our workshop is tucked away at Plot No- P-28/3 near Ganesh Chowk in New Cidco. The address has a code, N-32, which sometimes makes the mail arrive a day late, but we are easy enough to find if you look for the blue gate. We do a lot of small-scale engineering and repair work here. The shop is filled with lathes, drills, and bits of metal scattered across the workbenches. It isn't a large space, so we have to stay organized, though it might look like a mess to someone just walking in from the street. We spend our days hunkered over projects, trying to get the measurements just right. It can get pretty hot inside during the summer, but we keep the back door open to catch the breeze from the chowk. We aren't a big company with a lot of layers. Usually, it's just a couple of us working on whatever came in that morning. We like the local feel of New Cidco. There are plenty of places to grab a quick snack nearby, which helps when we are working through lunch to finish a job. We don’t use any high-tech systems for our customer list, just a handwritten ledger and a lot of memory. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for years now. We just focus on the metal and the machines.
