Metro Salons

Being over here on College Road, we see a lot of different people. It is a busy part of Nashik, especially near Parejat Nagar. The shop isn't very big, but we managed to fit a few good chairs in. We opened Metro Salons because there was a need for a place that didn't make a big fuss about a haircut. You walk in, sit down, and we get to work. The mirrors are a bit old and have some spots on the edges, but they work fine. We have a small bench for people to wait on, and usually, there is an old newspaper or two lying around to read. The light comes in through the front glass in the morning, which makes it bright. We don't use any of those fancy soaps or smells that you find in the malls. It’s just standard cream and water. College students from the nearby hostels stop by quite a bit, wanting something quick before their classes start. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. The street outside is always noisy with cars and people walking to the shops nearby. At the end of the day, we just wash the towels and lock up the shutters. It’s a simple business and we’ve been at it for a while now. We don't really do advertisements or anything. Most people just see the sign and walk in. It’s just what we do and it has worked for us.
