We are located in Shop No. G-9 of the Data Arcade, which is situated near Station Road. Being near the station means there is a constant flow of people and a lot of energy in the air. The arcade itself is a sturdy building with a lot of different businesses inside, but we are down on the ground floor which makes things convenient. Our shop isn't very large, but we have used every inch of the walls for shelving and storage. It’s a functional space above everything else. We don't have a big budget for interior design, so the decor is mostly just piles of tech manuals and some spare monitors we keep for parts. The lighting is fluorescent and bright, which helps when we are looking at small components late in the afternoon. We usually have a bit of a mess on the main workbench, but that’s just because there is always something being taken apart or put back together. We don't really follow a corporate handbook or have long meetings about strategy. We just look at what needs to be done each day and get to it. Station Road can be loud with the buses and the rickshaws, but once we are inside the arcade, it’s easier to focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a good spot for us, right in the thick of things where we can stay busy and keep the computers running for whoever needs us.
