Om Foods

Om Foods operates out of Gate-91 in Lonewade. It is a bit of a trek to get out here but it is a good spot for food production. We have a fairly basic setup where we handle the processing and packing. The area around Lonewade is quite open and we have enough space at Gate-91 to bring in our supplies without much trouble. Inside it is mostly stainless steel tables and big containers. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is in its place. It is not a restaurant where you can sit down and eat. It is more like a small production unit. You can smell the ingredients as soon as you walk through the gate. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time and they know the routine by heart. There are no fancy offices or lounge areas for visitors. We just have a small desk where we keep the registers and the delivery notes. The weather out here affects our work sometimes especially during the rains when the roads get a bit muddy. But we stay busy throughout the year. It is a quiet kind of work where we just focus on the food items and getting them ready for the market. We don't do much in terms of advertising because the work usually speaks for itself when the boxes go out.
