Khushamdid Salon

Khushamdid Salon sits in Deolali Gaon on Nashik Road, not far from the Muktidham temple. Because of the temple, we get a lot of travelers passing through, but most of our visitors are people who live right here in Nashik. The area is usually quite peaceful, though it picks up during festival times. Our shop is small and simple, with just the basic things needed for grooming. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside. The floor is tile and we try to keep it swept, though hair has a way of getting everywhere. It is a place where you can come in, sit down, and not have to worry about anything for a little while. We have been here for a long time, and the mirrors have a few scratches on them from years of use. The water isn't always steaming hot, but it gets the job done for a shave. Sometimes we close a little early if the street is quiet or stay late if someone needs a trim after work. We know the families around here and who is getting married or who is looking for a job. It’s more than just cutting hair; it’s about being part of the village life. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for the local men to get cleaned up and have a chat before heading back home. It is a steady way to spend the day.
