Jay Bharat Hair Cutting Salon is situated on Nashik Road, specifically near the Deolali Gaon area on Camp Road. This part of Nashik has a very specific feel to it, a bit more relaxed than the city center. We have been operating out of this small shop for quite some time now. It’s a modest setup with just the essential equipment. We have two or three chairs and some simple shelving for our combs and lotions. The front window lets in a lot of dust from the road, so we are constantly wiping things down. It’s a daily struggle, but that’s just life on Camp Road. Most of the people who come in are locals who have lived in the area for generations. We know their names and how they like their hair done without them even having to ask. It’s a quiet kind of business. We don't put up big posters or try to attract people with flashy deals. If the door is open, it means we’re ready to work. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s slow, just watching the bikes go by. It’s a simple existence, and we like the routine of it. We aren't trying to be anything other than a neighborhood barber shop where you can get a decent haircut and a bit of a chat. The shop isn't fancy, but it is ours.
