Jagdish Hair Cutting Salon

Jagdish Hair Cutting Salon is located right near Mukshidham on Nashik Road. It is a busy area with a lot of people walking by all the time. Our shop has been here through many seasons. We open up early because that is when the older men like to come in before the sun gets too high. Inside, it smells like talcum powder and sometimes the incense we light in the morning. The mirrors are old but they show you what you need to see. We have a few chairs that have been repaired a couple of times. Nothing here is brand new, but everything works. People from all over Nashik stop in. Sometimes they are in a hurry and sometimes they want to tell a long story about their family or the weather. We listen and we cut hair. The sound of the scissors is the main thing you hear, along with the radio playing softly in the corner. Being near Mukshidham means there is always something happening outside. We watch the world go by through the front window. It’s a small place, but it’s our place. We don’t do anything complicated, just standard hair cutting for the neighborhood guys. It gets dusty outside so we are always wiping down the counters. That is just how it is at Jagdish. We stay busy and we keep the shop open until late evening.
