Godavari Krupa Hair Salon

Started the shop on Dahipool Road a long time back. Panchavati is always busy, especially with the temple traffic and people heading down to the river. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a shop with Godavari Krupa on the board. Inside, we have the old-style heavy chairs that have been here since we opened. The floor is usually covered in hair by mid-afternoon because we don’t always get a chance to sweep right away when it’s busy. We keep the spray bottles filled and the razors sharp. People from around Nashik stop in while they are doing their shopping or on their way to work. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan on high. You can hear the bikes and rickshaws zooming past the door all day. It’s just the two of us working most days, and we don’t talk too much unless the customer starts it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We have some regulars who have been coming here since they were kids, and now they bring their own sons. It’s a basic life, just cutting hair and trimming beards day after day. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop here on the road. It gets the job done and keeps us going for now. We like the rhythm of it.
