Gaurave Saloon

Gaurave Saloon is over at Akshardhara Apt on Takli Road, in the Upnagar part of Nashik. We’re quite close to the Mhasoba Mandir, which is where a lot of people give directions from. I set up this shop because I’ve always been good with my hands and I liked the idea of having a place where men could come and get a proper shave or a haircut. The 422006 area is a nice place to live and work. The shop itself is pretty straightforward—no big posters or bright neon lights. Just the essential chairs and mirrors that get used every single day. I see a lot of the same people every month. Some of them have been coming to me since I first opened. We talk about the weather, the local sports, or just how the family is doing. It’s a community thing more than just a business. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings, and some guys have to wait outside on the bench, but no one seems to mind much. We just work through the line as fast as we can while still doing a good job. I think people appreciate that we don't try to sell them things they don't need. We just do the haircut or the shave and let them get on with their lives. It’s a steady job and I’m glad to be doing it here in Upnagar with my regulars.
