Dilkash Hair Saloon

Dilkash Hair Saloon is located in the Bhadrakali area of Nashik, right near the Mazjid. It is an old part of the city, and the streets can be quite narrow and crowded, but that is what gives it character. I have been running this shop for a while now. It’s a simple place with just the essentials. I have my scissors, my combs, and my trusty chair. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Most of my day is spent listening to the sounds of the neighborhood and the calls to prayer from the mosque nearby. It’s a very peaceful place in its own way. My customers are mostly men from the local area who have been coming to me since I opened. We talk about politics, the weather, and our families while I work. I don't use any high-tech gadgets, just manual tools for the most part. Nashik has changed a lot over the years, but this little corner feels mostly the same. I open the shutters early in the morning and usually close up around dinner time. It’s a quiet life, but I enjoy the work.
