Bhushan Hair Parlour

This parlour is situated at N32/N7/27/6 in Swami Vivekanand Nagar, which is part of the Cidco area in Nashik. We are very close to the Swami Vivekanand Statue, which is a big point of reference for everyone in this neighborhood. The shop is a small, local hair parlour where we mostly do haircuts for men and boys. It’s a quiet residential area compared to the city center, but we still get plenty of people coming by. I have been working here for quite some time now. The shop has a few chairs and the walls have some mirrors that are starting to show their age. It’s a comfortable place though, and most of my customers live just a few streets away. We talk about local things while I’m working with the scissors. I don’t have any fancy equipment, just the stuff that works. The statue nearby is a nice place where people gather, and sometimes they come in here after sitting out there. I start my day by cleaning the shop and setting out the tools. It’s a one-man show mostly, so if I’m busy, people just sit on the bench and wait their turn. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. It’s just a place to get your hair cut by someone who knows the neighborhood. The work is steady and it keeps me busy from morning until we close at night. It is just a normal, everyday hair shop.
