Bhagwati Glass & Aluminum

We are tucked away in the Manali Apartment building over in Indira Nagar. It’s more of a residential area than an industrial one, so we try to keep the noise down when we can. Bhagwati Glass & Aluminum started as a small repair shop and it just grew from there. Dealing with glass is tricky business. You have to be careful every single second or something breaks. We have crates of glass sheets stacked against the walls and aluminum frames leaning everywhere. It makes the space feel smaller than it is. Most of our work involves going out to people’s houses or shops to install windows and doors. The workshop is where we do all the prep work. It’s usually just me and a couple of helpers. We don't use fancy software to design things; we mostly just use a measuring tape and a pencil. Sometimes we get the measurements wrong and have to start over. That’s just part of the learning process. Indira Nagar is a good spot because we are close to our customers. They can just walk over and tell us what they need. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most people find us because their neighbor told them about us. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The sun hits the glass in the afternoon and lights up the whole shop.
