Because we are so close to the market, it is always very lively around here. People are always buying vegetables and clothes, and then they stop by our shop for a quick visit. It is a small space with two chairs and a big mirror on the front wall. We have a small bench outside for when it gets full inside. We do all the usual things like hair trimming, threading, and some basic skin care. The floor is tiled and we keep a broom handy because of all the foot traffic from the market. We have a small fan on the wall that moves the air around. It’s not a fancy place at all. We just have the things we need to do our work. We've been in this spot for a few years and we like being part of the Savata Nagari community. The noise of the market is something we have gotten used to over the years. We open the shop early and stay open until the market starts to close down. It’s hard work being on our feet all day, but we enjoy talking to the people who come in.
