Akshara Beauty Parlor

The shop is right on Ojhar Road, just a little ways down from Gajanan Steel. If you live around Ojhar in Nashik, you probably know the spot. It’s Shop No 1. We opened this place because we wanted something local for the ladies here. Usually, it gets pretty busy in the afternoons after everyone finishes their lunch and housework. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular parlor where we do threading, waxing, and hair stuff. The mirrors are a bit old but they work fine. Sometimes the dust from the road comes inside when the door stays open too long, so we are always cleaning the counters. My cousin helps out when there are many weddings in town. Nashik summers get really hot, so the fan is always running at full speed. People stop by just to say hello sometimes or wait for their turn while talking about what’s happening in the neighborhood. We have a few chairs and some magazines that are a bit torn from people reading them so much. It’s a simple setup. If you’re coming from the main part of town, look for the steel shop first. The sign for Akshara is right there. We just try to get the work done right so people come back next time. It’s been here for a while now and most of our customers are just the people living in the nearby blocks who don't want to go too far for their basic beauty needs.
