About Daksh International School – Education in Narsinghpur
Gadarwara is usually a quiet enough place, but Shani Mandir Road stays active. Our school, Daksh International, is tucked right in there. I remember when we first moved into this building; it felt pretty huge back then, but now we’ve filled up almost every corner with desks and cabinets. The walk from the main temple area is short, so you hear the bells quite clearly in the morning during prayer time. We have a couple of big trees in the yard that give some good shade during the hot months when the sun is beating down. The kids like to sit under them during their breaks. Our classrooms aren’t air-conditioned or anything like that, but we keep the big windows open to let the air move. It helps. We have a lot of local families from the neighborhood sending their children here. I know most of the parents by face now just from seeing them at the gate every day. We spend our mornings checking uniforms and making sure the blackboards are clean for the first lesson. It’s not some high-tech operation, just some good people trying to teach. The office is always full of papers and half-drunk cups of chai by noon. We worry about the rain because the road outside gets a bit muddy and messy, but the kids don't seem to mind it. They just jump over the puddles on their way in. It’s a simple life here in Gadarwara. We do our work and go home.
