Bharti Public School

Our school, Bharti Public School, is on Kultajpur Road in Narnaul. It’s a plain and simple place where we get on with the business of teaching. We don’t have any big corporate backing or anything like that. It is just a group of us who show up every morning to open the gates and get the classrooms ready. The area around Kultajpur Road is mostly quiet, but it wakes up when the kids start arriving. We spend our time doing the regular things like checking the water coolers and making sure the playground is clear of stones. The building has been here for a while, so it has its little quirks, like windows that sometimes stick. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide a place for kids to learn their lessons. Most of our days are spent dealing with small things, like helping a student find a lost shoe or talking to a parent about a report card. It’s a lot of work to keep a school going in a town like this, but we are used to it. We don't have a big mission statement; we just want the kids to show up on time and do their homework. It’s a very practical way to run things, and it seems to work for the families around here.
