We are over here in Singarbhat Village, which is part of the Kanker Tehsil in Kanker District. If you know the area, we are quite close to the Old Bus Stand. It’s a busy spot most days with people coming and going. We have been working with minerals for a while now. It’s not fancy work, just everyday stuff that needs to get done. My family and a few others from the village help out around the site. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready and checking the stock. The weather in Kanker gets pretty hot, so we try to do the heavy lifting early in the day. People usually find us easily because of the bus stand landmark. We don’t have a big office or anything like that, just a simple place where we manage the operations. It’s mostly about keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out to the customers. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere but that’s just part of the job when you deal with minerals. We’ve seen the town change a bit over the years, but Singarbhat stays mostly the same. We just keep our heads down and do the work. If you are walking down from the bus stand, you can’t really miss us. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. No big speeches or anything, just us doing what we know how to do here in the district.
