Farhan Corner

Farhan Corner is situated out on Beed By Pass Road in Aurangabad, not too far from Fatima Function Hall. Since we are near the bypass and Patel Lawns, we get a lot of people just passing through or coming for weddings. The area is quite open compared to the old city, but it gets very dusty with all the trucks going by. The shop is basically a corner spot where you can grab the essentials. We have cold drinks in the fridge which are popular when the sun is hitting the road hard. It’s a simple setup with metal shelves and a counter that’s seen better days. I usually spend the afternoon restocking the snacks because the travelers tend to buy those the most. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket or anything. It’s just me and maybe one other person helping out. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but that’s just part of being in Satara Parisar. People stop their cars outside, run in for a bottle of water, and then they’re gone. We also have the locals from the nearby houses who come for their daily groceries. It’s a mix of faces every day. We don’t have a sign that glows at night, just a plain one. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’ve been here long enough that people know us.
