Jayamurugan Rice Mill

You’ll find our mill at 85/1 on Tirunchengode Road in the R P Pudur area. It’s a familiar spot for many of the farmers around here who bring their harvests to us. The mill itself is an older building, and it shows its age in places, but the machinery still runs strong. We start early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to get a head start on the day's milling. There’s always a fine layer of dust on everything, which is just part of the job when you’re dealing with rice. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door; you just walk in and find someone in the back. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time, so we’re like a small community. We don’t use much in the way of big corporate language because that’s not who we are. We just focus on the grain and making sure it’s handled properly. Sometimes the power goes out or a belt snaps, and we have to pause everything to fix it. It’s just the reality of running a local mill. We stay busy through the seasons and try to keep things moving as efficiently as we can without overcomplicating things. We aren't looking to change much, just to keep doing what we've been doing for years on this road.
