Ostrich International

Our place is at 6/358-A in Thiruvalluvar Nagar. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s a good neighborhood. The building is a simple structure that we’ve modified over time to fit our needs. We handle international trade and sourcing here. The name Ostrich International sounds quite big, but we are a small operation on the ground level. We spend a lot of time checking samples and looking at shipping labels. There’s always a pile of boxes near the door waiting for the courier. The floors are plain concrete, and we keep the walls mostly bare. It’s a functional space, not a decorative one. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine. We start the day by checking the messages that came in overnight. Thiruvalluvar Nagar is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there are always people moving around outside. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the schools nearby let out. We usually eat lunch together in the small back room. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything is shipped out on time. It’s honest work and we like the independence of running our own small office. Nothing about our setup is flashy, we just focus on getting the shipments out correctly and keeping our clients informed.
