Arshara Flour Mill

Arshara Flour Mill is located at H. No. 2-1-168/A in Thallagadda, which is right in Suryapet Town. If you come by, the first thing you’ll notice is the sound of the machines and the fine white dust that covers almost everything. We spend our mornings cleaning the stones and getting the grinders ready for the day's work. People from around the district bring their bags of grain, and we spend the hours turning it into flour. It’s loud. You have to raise your voice to be heard over the motor. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of ceiling fans that try their best against the heat of the machines. We don’t have a polished office; it’s mostly just the mill floor and the bags stacked up against the walls. The work is physically tiring, especially during the harvest season when the bags keep coming one after another. We get our hands dirty every day, and our clothes usually end up covered in flour by noon. That’s just the way a mill works. We’ve been in Suryapet for a while, and we know many of the farmers who come in. There isn't any fancy packaging or big slogans on the walls. We just focus on getting the texture of the flour right so people can go home and make their bread. It's a basic life but it keeps us busy.
