Sri Krishna Rise Mill

We run the Sri Krishna Rise Mill over in Paladugu village. It is located at S. Y. No 448 if you are looking at the land records. Being in the Mothkur mandal means we get a lot of farmers coming in from all around the Nalgonda district. The mill is a very loud place most of the time. There is always the heavy sound of the machines running and that specific smell of raw rice and husks in the air. It gets quite dusty inside, so we are always sweeping and trying to keep things clear. We have been here in this part of Telangana for quite some time now. This is not some modern factory with fancy robots or anything. It is just old-fashioned milling with big, heavy machines that need a lot of oiling and looking after. We start very early in the morning when the sun is just coming up. Farmers bring their big loads of grain on tractors or bullock carts. We talk about the rain and how the crops are doing while the work gets done. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend hours fixing them ourselves with whatever tools we have in the back. It is not an easy job, standing on your feet all day in the heat of the mill. But it is what we do here in Paladugu. We do not have a website or anything fancy. Just the mill and the yard.
