Arpula Pedda Yallamma

Arpula Pedda Yallamma is situated right in the middle of Chippalapalle village. Our house number is 4-53, and it's where we spend most of our days. This part of Narketpally is where we grew up, so staying here to run our business made sense to everyone in the family. It is a small village where everyone knows each other's names, so you don't really need a map to find us. Just walk down the main path and ask for the house number. The building is simple, made of local materials, and stays cool even when the sun is really beating down on the district. We don't have any fancy equipment or big computers in the office. Most of the work is done by hand or just through talking with people who stop by the porch. Life moves at a different pace here in the mandal compared to the big cities. We see the same faces every morning when the sun comes up. Sometimes there is a lot of work to do, and other days we just sit and watch the carts go by. We are proud to be from Chippalapalle and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else. It’s a quiet existence but it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble. Our door is usually open if someone needs anything or just wants to say hello while passing through. It's a good life here. We don't need much more than our health and the respect of the people who live nearby.
