Meyar Agro Producer Company Limited

Meyar Agro Producer Company Limited is situated in Meyar village, which is near Rajgir in the Nalanda district. We work out of a space belonging to Vinay Singh’s family. Being so close to Rajgir, we see a lot of people passing through, but our focus is strictly on the agricultural side of things in our own village. The soil here is good for many things, and we spend our days making sure we take advantage of that. Our office is a simple place with a few chairs and a table where we keep our ledgers. It is not a corporate environment at all. You will often find us drinking tea and talking about the water levels or the cost of seeds. We started this company because it was getting harder to manage everything individually. Now we can pool our resources and try to get better deals. It is a bit of a learning process for us, and we are still figuring out some of the business parts, but we know the farming side very well. The people in the Meyar panchayat are mostly families who have been here forever. We don't have any grand plans to expand everywhere; we just want to do right by the farmers in our small corner of Nalanda. It is hard work, especially in the sun, but it is the life we have and we are okay with it. We just take things one day at a time.
