Shree Shyam System

Being tucked away in Shop 43 at Rajat Plaza on Ghat Road means we see a lot of different people. Some are looking for a specific cable they cannot find anywhere else, while others have a laptop that just won't turn on. It is a small space in Wing B, so things get a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and testing motherboards. The light in here is mostly fluorescent. It is not a big corporate office, just a counter and some shelves full of boxes. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to wait it out like everyone else. We handle printers too, which usually means getting ink on our shirts at some point during the week. The plaza gets busy in the afternoons, so there is always noise from the hallway. We just sit here and work through the pile of repairs. It is not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. Most of our day is spent opening up cases and blowing out dust from fans. We keep the receipts in a drawer and try to keep things organized, even if the wires on the workbench look like a mess. It is just how it goes when you are dealing with electronics all day long. We don't have fancy titles, just a small group of us trying to keep the computers running for whoever walks in.
