Vishwas N Dikhole

Vishwas N Dikhole is located at 138 Art Gallery in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, right across from the Hanuman Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple in the mornings and evenings when they do the prayers. The gallery isn't one of those massive buildings you see in the city center; it’s more of a tucked-away place that feels like part of the neighborhood. We spend a lot of our time inside just keeping things moving. Nagpur gets pretty hot, so we’re always glad for the shade around this building. People who come to see us often mention that they missed the turn once or twice because Gandhi Nagar has a lot of similar-looking lanes, but once you find the temple, you’re basically there. We don't have a big team or anything, it’s just a few of us. We drink a lot of tea and handle the daily chores that come with running an art-related space. It’s not always glamorous work, there’s a lot of dusting and organizing involved. We’ve been in this part of town for a while and we know the other shop owners nearby pretty well. It’s a decent place to work and it feels like home after all these years. We don't really have a fancy way of talking about what we do, we just show up and do it. It’s just how things are in this part of Nagpur.
