Miyaanji Hotel

If you know Aasinagar Chowk, you know how busy it gets, especially with all the traffic coming off Kamptee Road. Our place, Miyaanji Hotel, is right there in the thick of it near Teka. It’s a small spot, nothing too big, but we keep the tables wiped down and the kitchen moving. Every morning starts early with the stove getting hot and the smell of spices filling up the room. We don’t have those fancy printed menus that change every week. We just cook what we know and what people like to eat when they’re passing through. It gets really crowded during the lunch hour and the noise from the street outside never really stops. You can hear the horns and the people shouting over at the chowk while you eat. We’ve been here for a bit and we see the same faces every day, mostly workers from the nearby shops or people living in the Teka area. It’s not a place for a quiet romantic dinner, that’s for sure. It’s a place where you get your food, sit on a basic chair, and eat. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because the food is what matters. When the day ends, we’re tired and ready to close up the shutters. It’s a lot of work running a kitchen in such a busy part of Nagpur but it is what we do.
