Rose General Palace

You can find us at number 23 along Timki Road. It is a busy spot in Hansapuri because the school is right there. We see a lot of students and parents every day. Most of what we sell is general items people need for their houses. We keep things like pens, notebooks, and small snacks. When the Nagpur summer hits, we mostly stay inside under the fans. The shop is not huge but we fit a lot of things on the shelves. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific item if it gets pushed to the back. Opposite Rasheedia School means it gets very loud during the lunch break and when school lets out. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. It is a lot of standing and moving boxes around all day. The floor is old tile and it is hard to keep it perfectly clean with so many feet coming in and out. We keep the doors open most of the time. People stop by on their way home to grab a few small things for dinner or the house. There is no air conditioning, just the ceiling fan that squeaks a bit. We write down credit in a small book for some regular neighbors we have known for years. It is just a normal life running a store in this part of town. Nothing special, just Rose General Palace. We close up when it gets dark and the street lights come on. It is a long day and we are used to the routine.
