Rani Sati Traders

We are set up on C.A. Road, right over by Gandhi Baug. It is a nice part of the city to be in, though the traffic near the Bank of Baroda can be a real headache in the afternoons. Rani Sati Traders has been around for quite a bit. We handle various building materials. Most of our days are spent talking to contractors and people trying to fix up their own places. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular storefront with stacks of supplies inside. We try to keep things organized, but it’s hard when new shipments arrive. My brother and I run the place mostly. We started out small and just stayed that way. We don't see a reason to change much. People know they can come here and get a straight answer about what we have in stock. If the rain is heavy, we sometimes have to move the bags away from the entrance. It's just part of the daily work. We drink tea from the stall across the street at least three times a day. It keeps us going. Gandhi Baug is a landmark people use to find us. We tell them to look for the bank and then look for the stacks of materials. It works. We aren't doing anything fancy, just selling what's needed for local building projects. We close up around seven most nights unless there’s a late delivery coming in.
