Rahman Hotel

We've been here on Mohammad Ali Road for a while now. People know us as Rahman Hotel. Being right near the Jama Masjid in Mominpura means we see a lot of folks coming and going throughout the day. It’s a busy spot. We just focus on getting things done and making sure people have a place to sit and eat. My family and I handle the day-to-day stuff. It isn’t a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. Just some tables and chairs and the smell of food cooking in the back. Sometimes the street outside gets really loud with the traffic, but inside we just keep busy. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the masjid is always there. We open early and stay open until the work is finished. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We don't spend time on flyers or big signs. Usually, people just find us because they live nearby or they're visiting the mosque. If you're walking down the road in Nagpur, you'll see us there. Nothing too complicated about it. We just keep the kitchen going and try to make sure everything is ready when the regulars show up. It's a simple life here in Mominpura, and we're just part of the scenery at this point. There are always dishes to wash and floors to sweep, but we don't mind. We just keep our heads down and work. It's fine for us and it works.
