Printman Industries

Out here at D-69 in the Hingna Industrial Estate, things are usually moving pretty fast. Printman Industries is located right in the middle of the MIDC area, so there’s always the sound of other factories and trucks in the background. We do a lot of printing work, and that means ink is everywhere. No matter how much we clean, there’s always a smudge on someone’s shirt or a bit of ink on the floor. Our machines are old but they still run well if you know how to treat them right. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just take the orders that come in and try to get the printing done as best as we can. Some days the paper jams or the colors don't look right, and we have to stay late to fix everything. It’s not a quiet office job. It’s loud and it can get pretty hot in the summer months when the machines have been running all day. We have a small group of guys who have been working here for years, so we all know the routine. We eat our tiffins together and talk about the news or the cricket scores. It’s just a regular factory job in a busy industrial part of town, and we’re okay with that. We don't need things to be perfect as long as the work gets finished and the boxes are packed.
