Prakash Sales

Nagpur is famous for its heat, and here at Sevasadan Chowk, you really feel it. Prakash Sales is located right on Central Avenue Road, which is a busy spot. There is always someone walking by or a truck unloading something nearby. I started this place to handle basic sales and supplies for the local people. The shop isn't very big, and the shelves are packed high with boxes. Sometimes I have to use a rickety stool to reach the stuff at the top. I try to stay organized, but with so many different items coming in and out, the paperwork piles up on my desk. I usually have a cup of tea around four in the afternoon while sitting near the entrance. The noise from the Chowk is just background music to me now. My customers are mostly workers or people living in the 440008 area who need something specific. I don't use a computer for everything; a pen and a notebook still feel more reliable when things get busy. The front sign is a little faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. It is a lot of work running a place alone, but it keeps me occupied. I close up when the streetlights come on and head home, only to do it all again the next morning. It’s a plain, honest living.
