Pandey Hardware

Pandey Hardware is located at Plot No. 4 in Friends Colony here in Nagpur. We’ve been sitting on this plot for quite a while now, serving the local neighborhood. It’s a hardware store, so you can imagine it’s full of all sorts of things like nails, paints, and tools. The shelves are packed and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles. We try to keep everything where we can find it, but a busy day usually leaves things a bit untidy. Nagpur gets pretty hot, so we keep the fans going all day. Most of our customers are folks from around Friends Colony who are fixing something at home or contractors working on local jobs. It’s not a giant showroom, just a regular shop where people can get what they need without any hassle. I spend most of my time behind the counter or helping someone find a specific size of bolt. We don't have a computer system for everything; a lot of it is still done in ledgers or just by memory. The floor of the shop is concrete and has seen better days, but it’s tough enough for all the heavy crates we move around. We have a small radio that plays local news and music while we work. Nagpur's weather can be tough on the metal stock, so we have to be careful. Friends Colony is a nice place because it's mostly families and small businesses like ours.
