Naman Namkeen & Sweets

We are situated at 20-21 on Netaji Subash Marg, right by the Nagar Nigam Square. If you know the square, you know it’s one of the busiest spots in the city. There is always the sound of horns and people talking right outside our door. Inside, we are usually busy with the namkeen and the sweets. The kitchen area is where most of the work happens, and it stays quite hot because of the big stoves. We make everything right here. In the mornings, we start by frying the snacks so they are ready for the crowds later in the day. The smell of oil and sugar is something you just get used to after a while. We have glass counters where we display everything, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the fingerprints off them. It gets really crowded in the evenings when people are heading home and want to pick something up for tea. Sometimes we run out of the popular items faster than we can make them, which is always a bit of a scramble. The staff is mostly busy serving or packing boxes. It’s a fast-paced environment and there isn't much room to stand around. We have been at this location for some time now and have seen the square change quite a bit, but we just keep doing what we do every day without too much fuss.
