At Nagpur Cement Products Pvt. Ltd., we spend most of our time working out at C-14 in the MIDC Industrial Area. If you have ever worked with cement before, you know that the fine dust gets everywhere no matter what you do. Our clothes and the ground around the large mixers always have that dull grey look to them. We make various items out of cement, which means we are constantly dealing with water, heavy sand, and large molds. It is very physical work that starts early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the heat becomes too much to handle. The MIDC area is always buzzing with other factories nearby, but we mostly just focus on what is happening in our own yard. We have piles of finished products stacked up high, waiting to be picked up by customers or shipped out on trucks. Sometimes the weather makes things tricky for us, like when it rains suddenly and we have to cover everything up with plastic sheets. We are not a big corporate office with glass walls and carpets. We are a practical manufacturing site where the work is done by hand and by machine. It is a bit rough around the edges, but that is the nature of working with cement and concrete. We have been operating from this same spot for quite a while now. Every day is about mixing and pouring.
