Madhuran Sweets & Cafe

Our little spot, Madhuran Sweets & Cafe, is tucked away in Shivaji Ward, specifically in the Marathi Mohalla area of Kothi Bazar. It’s a lively neighborhood with people always walking around. We have a small shop where we sell different kinds of sweets and have a few tables for people to sit down and have a snack. It’s not a big, modern cafe with fancy furniture. We have simple chairs and tables that have been here for a while. The kitchen is right in the back, so you can often hear the clinking of pans and smell the sugar syrup boiling. We make our sweets fresh, and sometimes we run out of certain items before the day is over. It’s just how it goes in a small shop. We have a few regulars who come in every morning for their tea and stay to chat for a bit. It feels more like a community spot than a big business. We don't have a social media person or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and start cooking. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky from the syrup, but we try to keep it as clean as we can. It’s a humble place, and we like the people who come by. We just want to serve some decent sweets and keep the place going for the neighborhood. It's a lot of hours, but we enjoy the talk.
