This place is absolutely huge and it is always humming with some kind of heavy activity. We are right in the middle of a massive operation that includes an 8000-ton-per-day cement plant and a packing area that handles about 14000 tons every single day. There is even a 45 MW captive power plant on the site and some diesel generators to keep everything running if the main power grid has any issues. It is a loud and very busy environment where things are constantly being moved from one place to another. The office where we do our administrative work is tucked away from the heaviest machinery, but you can still feel the vibrations of the equipment through the floorboards sometimes. We spend our days making sure the production schedules are being met and that the packing plant is moving as fast as it should. There are hundreds of us working here across different shifts. It is definitely not a quiet or boring desk job. There is a lot of dust and noise, and trucks are coming and going through the gates at all hours of the day and night. We have to keep a very close eye on the machinery and the total output because things move so quickly. It is a lot of responsibility to manage, but we are all used to the scale of it by now. Most of us have worked here for many years.
