Ghanshyam Traders

Ghanshyam Traders is located right near the Bora Mashzid on the Main Road in Lohaoli, Itwari. This is a very old and crowded part of the town, and there’s always something happening on the street. Between the scooters, the carts, and the people walking by, it’s a constant squeeze. Our shop is tucked into this busy area, and we have the mosque right nearby, so we hear the call to prayer several times a day. The inside of the shop is pretty tight, with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. We have to be careful with the ladders when we’re looking for things. It’s an old building, and the walls have seen a lot over the years. We don't use much in the way of modern technology; we still keep our accounts in large handwritten books. People are always coming in and out, some to buy things and others just to chat for a minute. Itwari has a real energy to it, even if it’s a bit chaotic at times. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day, usually brought over from the local stall. It’s a friendly way to live and work. We don't try to be anything we’re not. We just keep our stock ready and try to help anyone who walks through the door looking for supplies.
