We’re located at the Asi Nagar Chowk, right on the Main Road in Taka. It’s a corner that everyone passes by, so we see a lot of people every day. We make and sell furniture, mostly wooden things like cupboards, tables, and chairs. The shop is filled with the smell of sawdust and varnish because we do a lot of the finishing work right here. It’s not a fancy showroom with carpets. It’s more of a working space where you can see the wood being cut and sanded. We’ve been here at the Chowk for quite a while now. My father started it, and now I’m the one mostly running the day-to-day things. We have a few workers who are really good with their hands and can fix almost any old chair you bring in. The traffic outside on Main Road can get pretty bad, but it means people often stop by when they’re stuck in a jam. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just see the furniture sitting out front and come in to ask about prices. We try to be fair and just give people something solid that won't break the first time they sit on it. It’s a simple life, working with wood and talking to the folks from the neighborhood.
