Our workshop, Kishore Furniture Art, is on Narsala Road. We are situated in the Narsala area, which is quite close to Bank Colony. If you walk inside, the first thing you will notice is the smell of cut wood and maybe some varnish drying in the back. There is sawdust all over the floor no matter how many times we try to sweep it up. We have all our saws, hammers, and measuring tapes scattered across the workbenches. It is a messy place, but that is how we work best. We spend our days measuring planks and putting things together for people in the neighborhood. We are not a big factory with a lot of robots. It is just a few of us using our hands and some old-fashioned tools to make chairs, tables, and cupboards. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on Narsala Road gets loud, but we usually have our own noise going on with the sanding and hammering. We like being near Bank Colony because we know a lot of the families around here. They stop by to see how their pieces are coming along or just to see what we are working on. We do not have a fancy showroom with lights. People just come to the back and see the wood for themselves. It is honest work and we enjoy seeing a finished piece leave the shop.
