You can find us at the Choraya on Paalri Road in Degana. We are a local school in the Nagaur district. The area is quite open, and we have a decent amount of space around the building. It’s a simple structure made for the students in this part of Rajasthan. Most of the kids come from the nearby villages, often walking or taking local transport. Our day starts when the sun is already up, and we try to finish before it gets too hot in the afternoon. The classrooms have the basics like benches and boards. We don't have a lot of modern equipment, but the teachers do their best with what we have. There is usually a lot of dust because of the location, so we spend a lot of time sweeping. The staff is small, and everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s teaching or helping with the maintenance. We have a small gate at the front where the parents wait. It’s a quiet life here in Degana compared to the big cities. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids show up on time. The building is painted in a simple way, and we have a small sign out front. It’s just a place where the local kids come to learn and hang out with their friends. We close up once the final bell rings and the last bus leaves for the outer villages.
