Comfort Inn Mgm Resort

Being located at No. 64, F/2 on the Nagapattinam Main Road means we see a lot of traffic passing by. Comfort Inn Mgm Resort is set up to handle people traveling along the coast. It’s a big stretch of road and we are one of the places where you can actually pull over and stay. The air is salty because we aren't too far from the water. That salt actually makes it hard to keep the paint looking fresh, so there’s always someone touch-up painting something or cleaning the windows. We have a fair amount of space, but it’s mostly used for parking and basic walking paths. The staff here are mostly from the surrounding villages. They aren't corporate types; they just work hard and speak plainly to everyone. We serve a lot of coffee and tea throughout the day. The main road can be noisy with trucks, but it settles down a bit at night. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s a place for families to stop or for people on a long drive to sleep. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to switch over to the generator, which makes a bit of a hum in the background. We just go about our business, cleaning the rooms and making sure the water is running. It's a practical setup for a coastal road. We don't pretend to be anything other than a place to rest.
