New Collection

New Collection is a small shop located in the village of Fatepur, under the Haringhata police station area in Nadia. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. We sell clothes and various textile items for the local people living in and around the village. The shop is just a simple room with some racks and a couple of mirrors on the walls. We try to bring in new styles whenever we can get to the larger markets in the district. Most of our customers are our neighbors, so we spend a lot of time talking about the crops or the weather while they look at the fabrics. It’s a slow pace of life here in Nadia. During the festivals, the shop gets a bit more crowded, and we stay open a little later than usual. The rest of the year, it’s mostly just a few people stopping by in the afternoons. We don't have any fancy displays or air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit. My wife helps me pick out the colors because she has a better eye for what the women in the village will like. We’ve been running this for a few years now, and it provides enough for the family. It’s not a big fashion brand, just a local store named New Collection where you can find something nice to wear for a wedding or a feast.
