Greenzone Adaptation Private Limited

Our company, Greenzone Adaptation Private Limited, is situated in the village of Krishnachandrapur in Nadia. We use Sudhir’s place as our main point of contact for everything we do. Being in a village means things move at a slightly different pace than in the big cities like Kolkata. We work on adaptation projects, mostly things that help people adjust to environmental changes and farming shifts. It’s practical work that requires us to be outside quite a bit. We don't use big words or fancy talk to describe what we do. We just look at what's needed on the ground and try to help out as best as we can. The air is fresher here in Nadia than in the city, which is a big plus for us. We often meet outside under the trees or in the main room of the house when it rains. It's not a corporate office with cubicles and bright lights. We know everyone in the village by name, and they know us too. Sometimes the power goes out for hours, and we just have to wait it out or work by candlelight if it's late. It’s just part of the life here. We started this because we saw a need in our own community that wasn't being met. We aren't looking to become a massive corporation with a glass building. We just want to do good work that makes sense for the local environment. Most of our days are spent talking to neighbors or checking on some small field projects.
