Sri Krishna Chicory

Sri Krishna Chicory sits right on the Mysore Bangalore Road. We are positioned just behind the Araskar Showroom, so we are a bit tucked away from the main traffic. You have to look for the turnoff to find us. The space we have is mostly used for storage and the processing equipment. It gets pretty loud when the motors are running. We spend our days moving heavy sacks around and monitoring the temperatures. The heat from the processing can get intense during the summer months. We usually keep the big side doors open to let some air in. It’s a lot of hard work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. We don't have a lobby or a place for guests to sit. Usually, if someone comes to visit, we just talk in the driveway or near the loading dock. We’ve got a small team and we’ve all worked together for a long time now. We know each other’s habits and how the machines act when they’re getting old. Sometimes we have to stop everything to fix a jammed belt or clear out a filter. It’s just part of the routine. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just run our small shop here behind the showroom and get the work done as it comes in. It is a humble living and we stay focused on the tasks.
